The University of King’s College is the oldest English-speaking university in Canada. Its stately Halifax Campus, modelled on the historic Windsor Campus, was designed by famed architect Andrew Cobb. The library was designed by Roy Willwerth. It opened in 1991 and won the first City of Halifax Design Award.
The New Academic Building, which contains the campuses’ two modern lecture theatres, opened in 2001.
Renovations in the summer of 2022 made parts of Alexandra Hall fully accessible, marking it as our first residence with such accommodations.
