Kids Day Camp is a great way to meet and make new friends while participating in engaging activities that include learning new games, team work and simply having fun!

$47.00 per day or $210 per week.
Extra $13.00 for extended Hours.

Weekly Themes

Week 1: Tropics Week (July 2 – July 6)

Join us for Tropics Week at the University of King’s College kids camp! Experience the tropics through stories, tropical-themed crafts, and fun outdoor activities. This week is ideal for the child who loves the outdoors, the beach, and the Disney movie Moana. Field trips may include a trip to Point Pleasant Park, and a chance to experience Halifax from the sea aboard the Harbour Hopper (depending on weather the number of children enrolled).

Week 2: Dragons Week (July 9 – July 13)

Join us for Dragons Week at the University of King’s College kids camp! Learn about dragons through storytelling, crafts, and games designed to let your imagination soar. This week is perfect for the child who loves storytelling, outdoor activities, and mythical creatures. Field trips may include visits to Point Pleasant Park and Conrose field to unearth ‘fossils’, discover dragon eggs, and play a number of themed games.

Week 3: Superhero Week (July 16- July 20)

Join us for Superhero Week at the University of King’s College kids camp! Perfect for the child who wants to develop their own superpowers through themed games, crafts, and storytelling. Children will get to develop their own superhero costume, learn how to make a superhero comic, and be exposed to real-life superheroes across the Halifax Peninsula. Field trips may include a viewing of the HRM Regional Police Department, HRM Fire Department and a trip to the Discovery Centre.

Week 4: Explorers’ Week (July 23 – July 27)

Join us for Explorers’ Week at the University of King’s College kids camp! Unleash your inner explorer and discover hidden treasures all around the Halifax Peninsula. This week is ideal for the inquisitive child who loves to learn, explore, and discover hidden treasures. Field trips may include trips to the Maritime Museum of the Atlantic, the Museum of Natural History, and a trip to Point Pleasant Park.

Week 5: Seafarers’ Week (July 30 – August 3)

Join us for Seafarer’s Week at the University of King’s College kids camp! Explore Nova Scotia’s deep connection with seafaring through crafts, stories, and activities. Perfect for the child who loves the sea and the outdoors. Field trips may include a trip to the Halifax Harbour to see visiting tall ships, a trip to the Maritime Museum of the Atlantic, and a chance to see Halifax from the sea aboard the Harbour Hopper (depending on weather the number of children enrolled).

Week 6: Mad Science Week (August 7 – August 10)

Join us for Mad Science Week at the University of King’s College! Explore new concepts and discover new science facts through themed crafts, games, and other activities. Perfect for children who love to learn and think outside of the box. Field trips may include a visit to the Discovery Centre, Point Pleasant Park, and Conrose field.

Week 7: Spy Kids Week (August 13 – August 17)

Join us for Spy Kids Week at the University of King’s College kids camp! Come complete your spy school training through games, crafts, puzzle-solving, and other themed activities! This week is perfect for the child who enjoys solving mysteries and thinking creatively. Field trips may include a trip to the discovery center and visits to Point Pleasant Park and Conrose field for themed activities.

Week 8: Under the Sea Week (August 20 – August 24)

Join us for Under the Sea Week at the University of King’s College kids camp! Explore the world and creatures hidden under the waters of the Atlantic through crafts, storytelling, and themed activities. Perfect for the child who loves the ocean and watching Finding Dory. Field trips may include visits to the Maritime Museum of the Atlantic, the Natural History Museum’s Coastal Aquarium, and more.

Information

Ages: The King’s Kids Day Camp welcomes kids grades primary to grade 6.

Lunch & Snacks: At the King’s Kids Day Camp, 2 snacks each day are provided as well as a full lunch in the King’s Cafeteria. All the food provided is peanut free and we are able to accommodate to any other allergies.

Rates/Payment: The King’s Kids Day Camp is $47.00 per day or $210.00 per week. Extended hours are an extra $13.00. Payment Methods: Cash, Debit, Visa, MasterCard, Cheque (made to The University of King’s College).

Hours: The King’s Kids Day Camp runs from 8:00am – 5:00pm Monday to Friday. Extended hours are available from 7:30-8:00am and 5:00-5:30pm.

Location: The King’s Kids Day Camp is held on the University of King’s College Campus, at 6350 Coburg Rd. The drop off area is located in the bottom floor of the King’s Gym on Lord Dalhousie Drive (directions will be posted on gym doors).
